Halo online
Sunday, May 11, 2008, 01:31 AM
I have become addicted to playing Halo3 online, it is great fun in the multi-player online games. I have managed to raise my ranking to gunnery sergeant in short space of time and have finally started getting to grips with the weapons and maps....having a great time listening to my opponents also. Only downside is the wankers BT have fucked my net connection again so now we have super shit internet and as such I am suffering lag the last few days. Amazing how the net problems from WankT only occure at the weekend when the technical department are closed and this you can not phone up and call them wankers.

Other than that every thing else I need to blog about is covered here in Evie-Jo's blog http://www.evie-jo.co.uk/blog/index.php

So grown up.
Wednesday, April 30, 2008, 12:49 AM
Taryn (who is only 4) has been demanding she wanted her ears pierced for some months. We had been ignoring her with the opinion she is probably to young to make such a decision. How ever my kids are so as pig headed as me and she insisted. So while down town the day before yesterday we took her into a jewellers. The guy doing the piercing and KT explained to her what they were going to do and that it was going to hurt lots, we even showed her the gun they were going to shoot her ears with. After all this we asked her again if she still wanted them done and she without hesitation said yes. So with no crying, screaming or any fuss at all she had her ears pierced and even picked her own purple stone encrusted studs to wear.

The reason for being down town is we were buying an Xbox 360 as we have decided we have had enough of the Wii and thus a swap was in order. WE got the cheapest model as we do not need to the extra such as the massive hard drive etc.. and the cost should be covered by trading in most of the Wii stuff as we have accumulated tons of it.

Evie-Jo Helmet
Saturday, April 19, 2008, 01:17 AM
Yesterday we took Evie-Jo to be re-measured for her Helmet after getting the X-ray results. She will be fitted with her new Helmet in 2 weeks on the 1st May.

The measurements showed her head had got slightly on it's own, although the guy said at her current age that would the limit of it's improvement on it's own. This is good news as it now means she can have one of the patterned Helmets instead of the horrid full clear one. Also they think it will only take about 3 months in the Helmet to correct the problem, which is great news.

Not all good news though, KT was down the Hospital at 6am this morning to see the Emergency doctor because she is so poorly. she has glandular fever and is very Ill. Hopefully the stuff she has been prescribed will help, although the doctor said if the medicine does not have an effect in 24 hours she is to go straight back down the Hospital.

Taryn's Eyes
Tuesday, April 15, 2008, 04:37 AM
Just got back from the hospital where Taryn has her check-up following her being glasses. Obviously if her quint had got worse or not improved they would have probably given her an eye patch over her good eye to force the lazy eye to work and if that failed it would have been surgery.

The great news is that glasses have started to take an effect and have improved the squint dramatically. It is still noticeable but getting better and as such they think leaving her in the glasses will do the job.

She is back for another check-up in three months so by then they are hoping the squint will be all but gone, so fingers crossed and hoping for the best :)

Yesterday was a momentous day with Evie-Jo, we finally got the results of her X-rays and that was good news also. No fusing of the skull and as such she will not need surgery.

Friday we have her appointment in Cardiff to get her measured for the helmet which is going to correct her head shape. So all being well within the next two weeks the treatment to correct her head shape should be under way. The only down side of course being the dent it is going to make to our bank balance.

DaDa
Saturday, April 12, 2008, 02:36 AM
Well baby Evie-Jo has started babbling to her self, the other day she started to say na na out of the blue and has been saying it almost constantly since. This morning how ever we got two new words, Da Da and Ma Ma. She is growing up so fast, she now has two teeth and is talking (sort of). This morning she also crawled backwards in her cot so I am guessing it will not be long before she is up and about.

Still waiting for the results of her X-rays from the hospital, had the doctor and the private clinic chasing them up but the hospital are being complete wankers and taking their time on purpose, so no further progress on getting this helmet fitted.

Tooth
Friday, March 28, 2008, 01:39 AM
Evie has been teething for a few months now, Basically she has been 'gumming' everything she can stick in her mouth and dribbling constantly. Although here 'gumming' has lacked any conviction and there were no signs of the teeth ever breaking through. However, yesterday she was sat on my lap 'gumming' my finger as normal and dribbling all over me when she suddenly staring 'gumming' with some real gusto and then bit a bloody hole in my finger as her first tooth broke through, razor sharp thing it is and all.

Even though she cut me with it I am over the moon she finally has a tooth, maybe now the rest will come through. This coupled with the fact this week she started rolling over front to back and back to front has made this a very busy week for baby Evie //thumb

Evie-Jo update
Thursday, March 20, 2008, 04:17 AM
Her hospital came and went. The consultant was certain the skull had not fused and felt an X-ray would be enough to confirm this save having to sedate Evie for the CT scan. So we had the X-rays done and are now waiting for the consultant to phone and tell us the results.

We are feeling confident that we can not look at getting her head shape corrected once the X-rays results are in. Hopefully the guy will not take to long to phone through with the results so we can get things moving as quickly as possible, it has already been a lot longer than we had hoped.

Got my new push bike so I can get to and from work without needing to use the car for the two mile journey. This will not only save on fuel, it will also protect the new car from pointless short journeys where it does not even get warm. Most importantly though it will prevent me having to leave out new car outside work all night where so many of the cars get vandalised.

This Monday coming we are going to visit my family and I am forcing KT to drive so she can get some motorway experience as that is still the one thing she has not done yet, although her driving is plenty good enough for her to handle it with ease :)

Car swap
Saturday, March 15, 2008, 04:24 AM
We had a little peugeot 306. This was mainly for KT to run around in when the older kids are at school. Since Evie was born it has become increasingly useless as the 7 of us do not fit into it and even with me in bed all the kids and KT did not fit. This meant we were paying for a car we could not really use.

Obviously not wanting to waste money on something we could not use and the fact we were all going to need to fit into the car when Evie starts her helmet treatment so we have upgraded the car to something bigger.

We not have a Renault Espace which seats us all with plenty of room to spare. This should allow us to get the older kids back into the sports karate and other activities as well as not worry about EVie's treatment if Kt's mum can not babysit. It will also allow us to visit my family for the first time in over 2 years//thumb

woohoo nothing to report
Thursday, March 6, 2008, 03:13 AM
Well looks like I am doing ok off the medication and all is well at the moment in that department :) Although my sinus problem is still present and a pain, medication for that is doing very little //rant

ktbaby has an eye test at her opticians as she noticed she was having trouble reading and sure enough she now has glasses for reading and driving. Although she is free to wear them all the time if she wishes.

Out phpBB board has had a make over. KT started making phpBB3 styles and after perfecting them she moved onto changing the style of KTUK.net and I have to say it currently looks amazing, she did an amazing job with it.

Noting much happening
Sunday, February 24, 2008, 01:43 PM
I thought I would add a blog entry just to to keep things up to date, although not much has been happening recently. Actually it has pretty much just been the daily grind of work, eat and sleep.

The one thing which has changed is I went back to the doctors regarding my bladder twitch. This was just a review after taking the tablets for a few months. The doctor has taken me off the pills with the hope my body has reset and the problem will not be rectified without the new for the muscle relaxants, and so far all is looking good.

Although I swapped one medication for another, I am having sinus issues and have been given some spray in the hope of opening up my sinus's so I can actually breath through my nose.
